SAM Labs is a software utilized to teach students how algorithms are constructed in order to make impressive technologies and devices. This can be done by giving the student a visual representation of how the algorithm can be developed by manipulating the input to control the desired output.

In the examples that I have used in class, I have challenged my students to think through the process for how to develop autonomous devices utilizing light sensors, LED’s, and DC Motors. My students have had the opportunity to create some fantastic projects including an autonomous night light that will play music and light up when the lights in the room are shut off, as well as a self driving model car.
